Fatih’s latest performance piece What do I do? will be part of Arada Interdisciplinary Art Festival in Vienna on the 26th and 27th of November.
- Fatih Gençkal tarafından Türkçe’ye çevrilen Arthur Miller oyunu The Price (Bedel), Mitos Boyut Yayınları tarafından Mayıs 2011′de yayınlandı.
Fatih Gençkal’s Turkish translation of Arthur Miller’s Price was released by Mitos Boyut Publishing in May 2011 in İstanbul.
Fatih Gençkal, Orhan Eskiköy ve Zeynel Doğan’ın yöneteceği Perişan Film yapımı Babamın Sesi adlı filmde Adem karakterini canlandıracak. Filmin çekimleri Mayıs 2011′de Elbistan ve Diyarbakır’da gerçekleştirilecek.

Fatih Gençkal’s feature debut: Fatih will appear in a main supporting role in Perişan Film‘s Voice of My Father which will be shot in May 2011 in Elbistan and Diyarbakır, Turkey.

Fatih Gençkal, Garajistanbul‘un Almanya’dan Theater Freiburg ile gerçekleştireceği ortak proje KABİNE/CABINET Bir Türk Alman Pazarı projesinde yer aldı. Proje, 29-31 Ekim ile 2-3-4 Kasım 2010′da Freiburg’da, 11-12-13-14 Kasım 2010′da ise İstanbul’da sergilendi.
Fatih Gençkal was part of theKABİNE/CABINET Bir Türk Alman Pazarı, a Garajistanbul and Theater Freiburg co-production. It was performed in Freiburg on October 29-31, November 2-3-4 and in İstanbul on November 11-12-13-14.
Fatih’s directing debut, The Dot, premiered at the JKB Theater in Saratoga Springs, NY on Thursday, July 8th at 7pm.
The show features Roel Swanenberg, Myung-gu Son, Kevin Macku, Blaze Mancillas and Oliver Losehand.
- The Turkish translation of The Viewpoints Book, written by Anne Bogart and Tina Landau and originally published in 2005 by TCG in New York, is now released by Mitos Boyut in İstanbul.

- On November 7th, 2009, Fatih took part in a piece written and directed by Jeremy Lydic in Around the World in 24 Hours, an annual festival of international performance presented by Internationalists‘. The festival took place at LaGuardia Performing Arts Center in New York City and was streamlined live on the web on http://theinternationalists.org/. The performance took place at 7:00pm EST (New York City time) on Saturday, November 7th.
Times 365:24:7 was reviewed in The New York Times on March 26th. Produced by Bone Orchard and directed by Anna G. Jones, the show was presented by the Brick Theater.
MIKA, a new project by TiyatroGlobal in cooperation with OSAGI (Office of the Special Advisor on Gender Issues Advancement of Women at the UN) directed by Jimena Duca was presented at the United Nations on March 5th, 2009 at the Dag Hammarskjöld Auditorium in New York and was followed by a Panel discussion entitled “Eliminate violence against women through the arts and the media.”
A retrospective of Studio 4 Istanbul short films directed by Deniz Buga and featuring Fatih Gençkal and Onur Karaoğlu of Studio 4 Istanbul, was on the Rainbow Section of International Istanbul Independent Film Festival, !fIstanbul.
The 75-minute compilation features the following short film works of Studio 4 Istanbul produced between 2003-2008: Brothers, Sleep, Big Apple, The Incomplete Stories of New York (Mahrem, Sand, Red Coat), Por El, Wednesdays and Grasshoppers.
- Studio 4 Istanbul’s latest short filmWednesdays received Special Mention from 56th International San Sebastian Film Festival. The film was in the short film competition of 7th International Film School Meeting. For more info:
